What Started it All
In the midst of my second pregnancy, I encountered a harsh reality: the scarcity of knowledge and support for women in fitness during this transformative time. This realization ignited a passion within me to advocate for women to embrace exercise throughout pregnancy. Fast forward a few years, and I found myself a midwife, expecting my third child. This time, my focus shifted toward engaging in fitness that nurtured my overall health rather than just maintaining my pre-pregnancy status.
Determined to equip myself with knowledge, I enrolled in a course led by Brianna Battles. I yearned to elevate my expertise and become a resource within my profession. Becoming a Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coach was a pivotal step in my journey, allowing me to blend my midwifery knowledge with a specialized approach to fitness for women.
Seeking to further enrich my capabilities, I also completed a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer course at my local gym. It became increasingly clear how much I loved coaching, guiding others through their fitness journeys, and sharing the vital knowledge I had accumulated. This passion crystallized into the vision for ExpectoFit—a brand dedicated to empowering women as they navigate the unique challenges of pregnancy and postpartum fitness.
I initially set out to establish this brand and outline my goals, but life had other plans. Responsibilities piled up, and my ambitions were sidelined. However, I didn’t let that halt my growth. I continued my personal development, becoming a certified personal trainer and a certified nutrition coach.
Now, I’m back and more committed than ever to supporting women in their fitness journeys. It’s time to break through the barriers of limited knowledge, to redefine what it means to exercise during pregnancy and postpartum, and to build a community empowered by strength, health, and resilience. ExpectoFit is here to make that happen.
